Obituary: Darryl Cheser, 63, Bardstown

Darryl Cheser, 63, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at his home. He was born June 24, 1961, in Shelbyville to the late Eugene and Patricia Hahn Cheser.

He never met a stranger. He loved to talk and was well known in his community. He worked at Superior Car Wash Solutions for a number of years and was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing in his free time and going to the gambling boat. He loved his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Cheser.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cheser; one daughter, Natalie (Laura Kieffer) Cheser of Bardstown, one sister, Koren (Roy) Gordon of Cox’s Creek; one brother, Gerald (Angie) Cheser of Shepherdsville; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. Cremation will follow the visitation.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
