Obituary: Anthony ‘Tony’ Ray Nichols, 58, Taylorsville

Anthony “Tony” Ray Nichols, 58, of Taylorsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was born July 7, 1966, in Shelbyville to the late Phillip and Virginia Tindle Nichols. He was employed as a mechanic at Chat’s Custom Automotive.

Tony is survived by one daughter, Frances Jewell of Taylorsville; two sons, Billy Jewell and Frank Jewell, both of Taylorsville; and the mother of his children, Barbara Jewell of Taylorsville.

In honoring the wishes of Tony and his family, cremation was chosen.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements.
