Obituary: Phyllis Marie Hall, 58, Bardstown

Phyllis Marie Hall, 58, of Bardstown, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born March 24, 1966, in Bardstown to the late Omer Lee “Curly” and Mary Lula Greenwell Hall. Shes was an employee of Johnan America and was a former employee of American Greetings. She devoted her life to her family, loved spending time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed the Kentucky Derby. She was a devout Catholic and she attended Journey Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Jeremy Peake; and one brother, Joseph Daniel Lee “Curly” Hall.

She is survived by two daughters, Shanna Marie Peake and Krista Lee Peake, both of Bardstown; three sisters, Linda (John) Dickerson and Peggy (Billy) Coulter, both of Bardstown, and Jeanette Hall (Mike) Sidebottom of Boston; one brother, David (Gail) Hall of Bardstown; two 2 grandchildren, Preslee Thornsberry and Isaiah Peake; and special friends, Angie Dickerson and Jerry Peake.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Jacob Zulu officiating. Cremation will follow the Mass.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
