Obituary: Bonnie Jackson, 72, Louisville

Bonnie Jackson, 72, of Louisville, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born Feb. 1, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Alvin Ray and Clarene McDonald Mattingly.

She was a former employee of Olin Mills Photography, she loved to collect stuffed monkeys and loved UofL basketball. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shelly Mattingly.

Survivors include her husband, John Jackson Jr.; one daughter, Stephanie (Michael Huff) Pridemore of Louisville; one sister, Linda Shelton of Bardstown; one brother, Gene (Martha) Mattingly of Louisville; three grandchildren, John Wayne, Kristen and Doris; and three great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Michael Boehm officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at the funeral home.

Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
