Obituary: Joyce Pope, 74, Bardstown

Joyce Pope, 74, of Bardstown, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at her home. She was born June 14, 1950 in Lebanon.

She enjoyed camping, boating, gardening, and spending time with family living the simple life. She dearly loved her grand-furbabies. She was Catholic by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bosley Pope; her parents, Paul Smith Sr. and Louise Smith; one brother, Jimmy Smith; and one nephew, Travis Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Micky (Alli) Pope and Marty (Lisa) Pope, both of Bardstown; one sister, Ann (Harold) Logsdon of Peach Tree City, Ga.; two brothers, Bill (Connie) Smith and Joe (Susan) Smith, both of Springfield; one sister-in-law, Catherine (Leo) McIntire of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service is noon Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in Lebanon National Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 21, 2025 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
