Obituary: Thomas Richard Thompson, 86, Magnolia

Thomas Richard Thompson, 86, of Magnolia, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

He was born Sept. 11, 1938, to the late Mayton and Delphin Whitson Thompson. He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He retired from Indianapolis School System. His love was his family and working on his farm.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melanie Warren Thompson of Magnolia;, one daughter, Amanda Keri Thompson of Magnolia; one sister, Priscilla Mathis of Texas; three brothers, Ronald (Lynn) Thompson of Indianapolis, Bryon (Karen) Thompson of Harrisburg, and Kevin (Susan) Thompson of Berea; three fur babies, Edward, Alice and Ellie Mae; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The burial will be private.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of services.
