Obituary: George Marie Houck, 82, Bardstown
George Marie Houck, 82, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, in Glen Ridge Health Campus in Louisville. She was born March 5, 1942, in Bardstown to the late Elijah “Tubby” and Margaret Geoghegan Hayden.

She was a former employee of Robin Daycare and Inoac Manufacturing, and she loved to travel, knit and crochet. She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Houck, a daughter, Debbie Houck, and a sister, Julia Ann Whitaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Freda Houck of Louisville and Jayne (Todd) Bartley of Springfield; one son, Wayne Houck of New Jersey; two sisters, Neasy Miller of California and Estelle “Tootsie” Hayden of Bardstown; two brothers James “Jimmy” (Jenny) Hayden and Henry (Jean) Hayden, both of Bardstown; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Deacon Steve Heil officiating. Burial is in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, and 9-11 a.m. Satuday, March 1, 2025, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the American Heart Association.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
