Obituary: Stephen Wesley Mudd, 45, Prestonsburg
Stephen Wesley Mudd, 45, of Prestonsburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center following a car accident. He was born Oct. 15, 1979, in Bardstown.

He was employed by Mountain Comprehensive Care as a Community Health Worker. He was passionate about his artistic creations and had recently established a webpage, Stephen Mudd Fluid Arts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard D. Mudd, Sr. and Jane O. Mudd and Herman and Pauline Brown.
He is survived by his parents, Susan Mudd (Ken King) of Bardstown and Leonard D. Mudd Jr. Helen) of Bardstown; three sisters, Kristi L. Dunn of Prospect, Kimberly N. Mudd-Fegett (David) of Elizabethtown, and Anita Kate Broaddus (Jake) of Bardstown; his grandparents, Rudolph and Mary Leathers of Bloomfield; one aunt, Doris Leathers of Lexington; three nephews, Elliott Mudd, Zander Keeling and Cole Fegett; and his best friend, his dog, Nelson.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with Bro. Rodney Lynch and Bro. Jonathan Gann officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The Humane Society of Nelson County.
