Obituary: Anthony Karl ‘Opey’ Taylor, 67, formerly of Bardstown
Anthony Karl “Opey” Taylor, 67, of Louisville, formerly of Bardstown, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1958, in Bardstown to William Thomas and Glenna Mae Roberts Taylor.

He was a former employee of Bird & Son and was the owner of Taylor & Taylor lawn care maintenance. He was an avid University of Louisville fan. He loved to play pool and listen to music. He was a member of Fairfield 2nd Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Sonya Cyrisse Taylor; and one brother, Ronald Keith Taylor.
He is survived by one daughter, LaTishia Cecil of Bardstown; his mother, Glenna Taylor of Bardstown; two sisters, Vivian (John) Taylor-Burba of Pendleton and Glenna Carolyn Jenkins of Bardstown; two brothers, Thomas Wayne Taylor and Kacy Leigh Taylor, both of Louisville; three grandchildren, Brandon, Brenton, and Bradley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen by his family.
Memorial visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
