Obituary: Bessie Hardin, 78, formerly of Bardstown

Bessie Hardin, 78, of Lebanon, formerly of Bardstown, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville. She was born July 1, 1946, in Louisville to the late Carl Jolly and Rebecca Moore Pash.

She was a homemaker in both the Lebanon and Bardstown communities for a very long time. She loved spending time with her family and friends and doing things for others. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 436, where she served as a past Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Cattleman’s Association of Marion County where she served on the trip planning committee. She received the title of Master Cattleman, Master Stocker, and Master Grazer. She was on the friend board of the Gravel Switch community and had served as a Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls for several years in the Bardstown Chapter.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as the United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Hardin, and Tommy Glasscock Sr.’s daughter, Amy Glasscock.

She is survived by one daughter, Bobbi (Huston) Brown of Louisville; one son, C.M. (Sharlene) Hardin of Chantilly, Va.; four sisters, Carolyn Parrot and Priscilla Pash, both of Louisville, Rebecca Pash of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., and Julie (Stanley) Mudd of Bardstown; two brothers, Buddy (Irene) Pash of El Cajon, Calif. and Phillip Pash of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Zachary Brown, Sophia Brown, Drake Hardin, Cassandra Hardin, Candace Keeling, Miranda Brady, and Jessica Glasscock; 10 great-grandchildren; her lifelong partner, Tommy Glasscock Sr. of Lebanon; and Tommy’s son, Tom (Lannie) Glasscock Jr. of Summerville.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Grammer officiating. Burial is in the Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025, and 10-11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with a 7 p.m.Sunday Eastern Star Memorial service.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
