Obituary: Janie Ice Logsdon Newton, 65, Bardstown
Janie Ice Logsdon Newton, 65, of Bardstown, died Thursday, March 6, 2025, at her home. She was born June 9, 1959, in Chicago. She was a caretaker, painter, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bonfires, camping, and being with her friends. She gave her life to taking care of and loving her autistic son, Joseph Wheatley Logsdon, and she had a great love for life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Ice; her mother, Christine; and two brothers, Stanley Ice and Joe Ice.
She is survived by her husband, Michael “Bink” Newton of Bardstown; one daughter, Amanda (Jesse) Williams of Hodgenville; one son, Joseph Wheatley Logsdon of Bardstown; one sister, Betty (Phil) Spatafora; four grandchildren, Robbie Ice, Paisley Williams, Jagger Williams, and Jasper Williams; close friends, Linda and Susie; all her soul sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
The memorial service is 6 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home.
