Obituary: Glenna Mae Taylor, 87, Nazareth Village

Glenna Mae Taylor, 87, of Nazareth Village, died Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Eastway Health and Rehab of Louisville. She was born April 7, 1937, in Taylorsville to the late Hugh and Dorothy Avery Roberts.

She was a retired nurse’s aide and domestic. She loved to sew, talk and socialize. She loved cooking and canning and was an avid churchgoer and a member of Fairfield Second Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sonya Taylor; two sons, Anthony “Opey” Taylor and Ronald Keith Taylor; two brothers, William Thomas Roberts and Dorney Gene Roberts, and her former husband, William Thomas Taylor.

She is survived by two daughters, Glenna Carolyn Taylor Jenkins of Bardstown and Vivian (John) Taylor-Burba of Pendleton; two sons, Thomas Wayne Taylor and Kacy Leigh Taylor, both of Louisville; six sisters, Joyce Roberts and Katie Roberts, both of Shelbyville, and Loretta Young, Earl Dorothy Miller, Bonnie Jean Saunders, and Barbara Joe Phillips, all of Louisville; one brother, Hugh Roberts Jr. of Bardstown; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In honoring her wishes, the family has chosen cremation.

Memorial visitation is 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
