Obituary: Sandra L. Hart, 77, Taylorsville
Sandra L. Hart, 77, of Taylorsville, died Friday, April 18, 2025. She fought a courageous battle with a long illness and never once did her faith waiver. She loved her family fiercely and there wasn’t a dog or cat that she didn’t try to rescue and bring home. She was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co. and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Ray Ulery and Frances Ulery (Mohr); and one brother, Edward Ulery.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James “Jim” Hart; five daughters, Rhonda Shacklette, Donna Fortner, Christy Hart, Shannon Pitts (Paul), and Colleen Marples (Rusty); four brothers, Frank Ulery (Mary), Doug Ulery (Debbie), Dennis Ulery (Paula), and David “Buddy” Ulery; five grandchildren, Josh Shacklette (Tiffany), Jeremy Shacklette (Leslie), Makaela Fortner, Melissa Pitts, and Seth Pitts; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Dallas, and Killian; and many cherished loved ones.
The Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, April 24, 2025 at All Saints Catholic Church in Taylorsville with the Rev. Hillary Chumo officiating. Burial was in Valley Cemetery.
The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
