Obituary: Clifford Fredrick Maulden, 92, Bardstown

Clifford Fredrick Maulden, 92, of Bardstown, died April 20, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was a beloved member of the community and a dedicated family man.

CLIFFORD FREDRICK MAULDEN

He was born July 20, 1932, in Bullitt County. He touched many lives with his warmth and genuine spirit. He was a retired foreman at Solite and was known for his strong work ethic.

His personality charmed all who knew him. He had a profound love for his family, cherishing every moment spent with them. He delighted in watching hummingbirds fly about and found solace in the great outdoors, often embracing the serenity found while fishing. These pursuits brought him immense joy and were a reflection of his appreciation for the simpler things in life.

Clifford’s legacy lives on through the love and memories shared with each of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, McClellen Maulden and Mary Fern Mahoney Maulden; one sister, Violet Long; and two brothers, Donald Hilton and Charles Hilton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce G. Maulden; three daughters, Mary Maulden of Lebanon Junction, Cherryl Sims (Mike) of Boston, and Becky Fischer of Campbellsville; two sons, Anthony “Tony” Maulden (Angie) of Elizabethtown and Christopher Maulden (April) of Boston; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Maraman-Billings Funeral Home in Shepherdsville. Burial was in Vine Hill Cemetery in Clermont.

The Maraman-Billings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
