Man flown to Louisville after being pinned under farm tractor
Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, 4:17 p.m. — A 69-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon after he was pinned under a farm tractor off East Flat Road near the Nelson-LaRue county line south of Howardstown. The man told first-responders he was pinned with the tractor on his left leg and hip for about 45 minutes. The Rolling Fork Fire Department responded to lift the tractor off the victim. He was transported by Nelson County EMS to a landing zone set up at the Howardstown School. From there he was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Louisville. The victim complained of severe left leg and knee pain. The accident happened about 3 p.m.
