Obituary: George Robert ‘Bobby’ Roby, 81, Cox’s Creek
George Robert “Bobby” Roby, 81, of Cox’s Creek, died Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1943, in Louisville to the late George and Hedy Roby. He had a 60-year career in trucking, as well as being a lifelong farmer. He was a member and former deacon at Riverview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tony Roby; and a stillborn daughter.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna Ashbaugh Roby; one son, Timmy Roby (Paula); three grandchildren, Quinton Roby (Olivia), Taryn Miracle (Corey), and Hunter Roby (Audrey Milburn); three great-grandchildren, Cooper, Lakyn, and Kayson.
The funeral was Monday, June 2, 2025. at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery.
