Fort Knox training exercises expected to be heard in Nelson County June 6-19

Thursday, June 5. 2025 — Military training exercises at Fort Knox will be louder than normal beginning Friday, June 6th through Thursday June 19th.

The training exercises will involve aircraft, maneuvers and weapons firing in daytime and nighttime hours. The exercises are an important aspect of maintaining critical capabilities and readiness of all units.
