Obituary: Margie Cross, 75, Bardstown

Margie Cross, 75, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 25, 1950, in Nelson County. She worked at the Kentucky Standard. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She loved bingo, volleyball, bunco, softball, slot machines and was a puppy lover.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cross; her parents, Arville Dee and Mary Beatrice Auberry Moore; one sister, Theresa Marie Hutchins; and two brothers, Joseph Howard (Pete) Moore and James Arville Dee Moore Jr.

She is survived by two children, Allen Cross (Shelly) and Cheryl Cross; three grandchildren, Jordan Cross, Logan Cross and Dillon Greenwell; six brothers and sisters, Mary Ann Malluzzo, John Theodore “Mike” Moore,


Mary Pearl Taylor, Frankie Lee Moore (Walther), Mary Sherard, and Daniel Dee Moore (Sipes); and several nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends; and a special friend, Mabel Jones.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home, and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2025, at the church with a 7:30 p.m Monday, prayer service.

Memorial contributions may go to the National Association of the Deaf.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
