Obituary: Francis Irvin Rogers, 84, Bardstown
Francis Irvin Rogers, 84, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin. He was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Bardstown to the late John and Elsie Cecil Rogers. He was a retired employee of Rose Construction and after retirement, he worked at Dollar General.

He was also a former employee of General Electric and enjoyed helping with Kentucky Pork Producers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Post 121. He loved gardening, fishing and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Young Rogers; one daughter, Tonya Hutchins (Greg) of Boston; one son, Kevin Rogers (Cindy) of Culvertown; one brother, Keith Rogers (Ruth) of Bardstown; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Hutchins (Rebecca) of Culvertown and Dakota Hutchins (Mary Kate) of Manton; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar Hutchins and Colton Hutchins.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with an American Legion service at 7 p.m. with cremation to follow visitation.
Burial is in The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
