Obituary: Juanita ‘Faye’ Brown, 72, Mount Washington

Juanita “Faye” Brown, 72, of Mount Washington, died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1952, in Bardstown. She attended Vine Hill Baptist Church. She loved her family, Panama Beach, decorating, and had a great sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by one son, Carl Wayne “Hotdog” Durbin; her mother, Eunice Mae Spalding; her father, James Wallace Spalding; and her sister, Margaret Spalding.

She is survived by her husband, Donald “Donnie” Brown; one daughter, Missy Durbin (Jonathan): one son, Chris Durbin (Debbie); three sisters, Dorothy Pugh (Buddy), Linda Williams (Jimmy), and Darlene Jury (Stevie); one half-brother, Jim Spalding; one daughter-in-law, Amy Durbin Catlett; eight grandchildren, Brenden Rodgers, Emily Durbin, Alieta Farnsworth, Evan Durbin, Bailey Durbin, Ella Durbin, Addee Durbin and Ava Durbin; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home. Burial is in New Salem Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Greg Crenshaw officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
