Obituary: Carl Leland Morrow, 78, Bardstown

Carl Leland Morrow, 78, of Bardstown, died Sunday, June 14, 2025, at Jewish Hospital. He was born October 4, 1948, in Bardstown to the late Hubert & Rubye Collins Morrow. He was an accountant at Churchill Downs for a number of years and also was the band director at Nelson County High School for 14 years. He loved music, working with computers, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Morrow; and two nephews, Terry Jackson and Gary Jackson.

He is survived by his wife Martha Meyer Morrow; one son, Dale Eric Morrow of Danville; three sisters, Veda Jackson, Kaye (Joe) Richards, and Cindy (Ray) Tinsley; one brother, Joe (Laura) Morrow; four nephews, Michael (Jennifer) Morrow, Lee (Heather) Richards, Scott (Lari) Richards, and Brady Richards; seven nieces, April (Jeremy) Elliot, Karen (Kari) Leigh, Kathy (Jason) Hugg, Tara ( Josh) Kammerdiener, Amanda (Matt) Brasfield, Jenny Tinsley, and Lisa (Michael) Terry.

The family respectfully chose cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
