Obituary: James Lewis Nalley Sr., 86, New Haven

James Lewis Nalley Sr., 86, of New Haven, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was retired from 3N Basement Walls. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nalley; his parents, Joseph William and Elizabeth Nalley; four children, Bobby Nalley, Jamie Nalley, Michael Nalley and Carol Bryan; two sisters, Pam Nalley and Karen Douglas; and three brothers, Phillip Nalley, Bobby Nalley, and JW Nalley.

He is survived by five sisters, Rose Ann Cahoe (Happy), Kathleen Bowling, Bernadette Culver (Raymond), Sheila Dones and Arlene Snellen; and three brothers Frankie Nalley (Jeannie), Marty Nalley (Carleen), and Freddy Nalley.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen with burial in the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
