Obituary: Alfreda Necker, 67, Cox’s Creek

Alfreda Necker, 67, of Cox’s Creek, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at Baptist Health in Louisville. She was born Aug. 11, 1958, in Logan, West Va., to the late Dallas Dingess and Madeline Vannatter Dingess. She was a homemaker who loved flowers and decorating of all kinds. She also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her friends and family during the holidays making memories.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Pepper; and one sister, Burma Nielsen.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Necker Jr.; one daughter, Marie (Dustin) Pepper of Bardstown; four sons, Robert (Jacqueline) Pepper of Michigan, Kyle Necker of Cox’s Creek, Robert E. Necker III of Michigan and Eric Necker of Tennessee; three sisters, Marie (James) VanHoose of Cox’s Creek, Clara Digness of Michigan, and Stephanie (Hector) Hinojosa of Michigan; three brothers, Daniel (Brenda) Dingess of West Virginia, Dallas Dingess of Michigan, and Joseph (Erica) Leannais of Michigan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral was Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Sexton officiating.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
