Robert James Summers, 72, Bardstown

Robert James Summers, 72, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at Life Care Center of Bardstown. He was born July 10, 1939, in Chicago. He was a former guard at Luther Luckett Reformatory in LaGrange and was a U. S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Louise Summers and his parents, Walter James and Agnes Mary Summers.

Survivors include his two sons, James Summers of Floyds Knobs, Ind., and Rob Summers of Louisville; one daughter, Deborah Warren of Louisville; and three grandchildren.

There will be no services.  Cremation was chosen.
