John Challon Forsee, 59, Bardstown

John Challon Forsee, 59, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at his residence. He was born Dec. 19, 1951, in Nelson County. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tyre Guy and Irene Helen Smith Forsee; and a brother, David Forsee.

He is survived by three sons, Josh Forsee of Bardstown, Michael Coop of Wilmington, Ill., and Chris Schaefer of Shorewood, Ill; five daughters, Alicia King of Louisville, Tiffany Schaefer, Tammy Wildrick, and Tanya Likovic, all of Wilmington, Ill., and Tina Weber of Minooka, Ill; two brothers, Terry (Mary Alice) Forsee and Michael (Gloriela) Forsee, both of Bardstown; four sisters, Patsy (Willie) Smith, Peggy (Gary) Dones, Jeanne (Ralph) Diaz, all of Bardstown, and Kathy (Burt) Jordan of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister-in-law,  Eileen Whitesides of Nokomis, Fla.; and numerous grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen with a military honors ceremony at the Lebanon National Cemetery to be scheduled at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Feed the Children Foundation.
