Bardstown Fire responds to reported vehicle fire on BG Parkway

Nov. 2, 2011, 11:24 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to the 17 mile marker of the westbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway for a possible vehicle fire. The caller said he had smoke coming from the engine compartment of his red Chevy truck. A deputy sheriff also responded to the area. Firefighters found the vehicle’s cooling system was creating steam, there was no fire.
