Fire, police, EMS respond to injury accident on High Grove hill

Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, 8: 45 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and police responded to Louisville Road at High Grove for a two-vehicle injury accident with entrapment. Firefighters had to open the door to get one of the patients out of the vehicle. One person was taken by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment. Two other people at the scene required no treatment. Firefighters requested the highway department spread some sand on the roadway in the area due to the slick and hazardous conditions. Firefighters closed Louisville Road at High Grove due to the hazardous conditions.
