William ‘Bill’ Campbell Jr., 73, Bardstown

William “Bill” Campbell Jr., 73, of Bardstown, formally of Athens, Ga., died Sunday Nov. 6, 2011, at Green Meadow Health Care Center, Mt. Washington.  He was born June 19, 1938, in Penn Station, Penn., a retired mechanical engineer for General Mills, graduated from Athens High School and a 1961 graduate of the University of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. William A. Campbell Sr. and Eleanor Ebert Campbell.

He is survived by his son, Todd Campbell; daughter, Holly Campbell, both of Bardstown; one sister, Kathleen Spencer of Athens, Ga.; one brother, George Campbell of Richmond; four grandchildren, Terry Mitchell Jr., Carter Campbell, Cadence Campbell, and Allison Campbell; and a niece and several nephews.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Parkway Baptist Church, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery at a later date.  Dr. James Carroll will officiate.
