Sewing factory building demolition added to council agenda

Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, 4:45 p.m. — The Bardstown City Council will review bids tonight on the demolition of the old sewing factory building. A revised agenda distributed late Tuesday afternoon added the sewing factory demolition to the council’s agenda. The building more recently housed Nelson County Industries until that operation moved.
A revision earlier today added appointing realtor Edward Seay to the Development Review Board. Seay would fill the unexpired term of Ann Hite. The appointment was be valid until January 2013.
Other items on the council agenda include:
- Annexation ordinance related to property along Templin Avenue where the new funeral home will be located;
- approval of a municipal order related the the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security
- recognition of Buck Snellen’s 20 years of service on the Bardstown Police force.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the council chambers in the City Hall Annex building on Xavier Drive.
