Fire dept., EMS respond to injury accident on Balltown Road

Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, 3:45 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and the Bardstown Fire Department are responding to a one-vehicle crash near 2789 Balltown Road. A passer-by reports the vehicle may be on fire. An occupant was reportedly out of the vehicle.

3:58 p.m. — Fire chief reports there is no fire and no entrapment, EMS squad is on scene. The vehicle was located before the 2700 block, it left the roadway and hit some trees. EMS reports no treatment was required.
