Northeast Nelson Fire called to camper trailer fire on BG Parkway

Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, 12:03 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department responded just after noon Friday to the 38 mile marker on the Blue Grass Parkway for a report of a camper trailer on fire. A second caller reported the camper was equipped with propane tanks, and the hillside next to the vehicle was also now fire. Firefighters quickly had the fire under control though the camper was destroyed by the fire.
