1 injured, at least 1 arrested in New Year’s fight at local sports bar

Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, 1:24 am. — Nelson County EMS and all available police officers were called to Parker’s Bar & Grill, 145 Parkway Dr., about 1:20 Saturday morning for a fight in progress. When police arrived at the bar the found a male subject unconscious inside the building. One person was arrested by police and taken to the Nelson County Jail. EMS transported a 31-year-old male who was hit in the head during the assault. He also complained of mid-back pain.
