Margaret Holbert Cundiff, 83, New Haven

Margaret Holbert Cundiff, 83, of New Haven, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at her home.

She was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church. She was retired from Bardstown Manufacturing after several years of service and Nukote in Bardstown after 20 years of service. She was born March 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Joseph Elmer and Rholda Sue Redmond Holbert.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William “Bill” Cundiff; two brothers, Robert Holbert and Howard “Mousie” Holbert.

Survivors include three brothers, Marvin (Freda) Holbert of Louisville, Paul Holbert of New Haven, and Joe (Mary) Elmer Holbert Jr., of Hodgenville; one sister, Mary Ann (Johnnie) Schaffer of Georgetown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at New Haven Baptist Church in New Haven with the Rev. Aaron Shipp, pastor, of New Haven Baptist Church, with burial in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery in White City.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, and 8:30 a.m. –12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011,  at the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
