12-year-old boy injured during football game at Dean Watts Park
Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, 3:42 p.m. — A 12-year-old boy was injured Sunday afternoon during a football game at Dean Watts Park. The boy told first-responders that during a play he was tackled and fell backward injuring his neck. Nelson County EMS transported the boy to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of severe neck pain. The accident happened around 3:15 Sunday afternoon.
