Shirley Ann Breeden, 72, Bardstown

Shirley Ann Breeden, 72, of Bardstown, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at her son’s residence.  She was born May 5, 1939 in Louisville and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Rodman and Nancy Mary Greenwell Cecil; one sister, Elizabeth Cecil; one brother, Louis Ray Cecil and one granddaughter, LaDonna Cook.

She is survived by her husband, James H. “Buddy” Breeden of Bardstown; two daughters, Pat (Terry) Foster of Springfield and Donna (Roger) Ballard of Bardstown; two sons, Jimmy (Liz) Breeden and David (Sandra) Breeden both of Bardstown; four brothers, Kenny Cecil, Bobby Cecil, Donnie Cecil all of Bardstown and Charles Cecil of LaGrange; two sisters, Tenny Gritton and Wanda Marksbury both of Bardstown; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, and 9-10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Barlow Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may go to the funeral expenses of Shirley Ann Breeden.
