Two injured in rear-end collision at KY 245 and Bloomfield Road

Monday Nov. 28, 2011, 3:55 p.m. — Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicel rear-end collision at the intersection of East John Rowan and Bloomfield Road.

A four-door Pontiac, driving by a 30-year-old man, struck a larger box-type truck from the rear at low speed. The crash blocked half of the roadway, snarling after-school traffic until the vehicles were moved. The driver and a rear seat passenger, a 45-year-old woman, were taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The collision happened about 3:30 Monday afternoon.
