Flood warning for Rolling Fork River at Boston remains in effect
Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, 11 a.m. — The National Weather Service reports Wednesday morning the flood warning for the Rolling Fork River near Boston remains in effect as minor flooding along the Rolling Fork River valley continues.
The river was 4.3 feet over floodstage of 35 feet at 10:30 Wednesday morning. The river is expected to reach its crest near 39.9 feet later today, and fall below flood stage by Friday morning. Minor flooding has closed a number of roads in the county. One person died Tuesday evening when their car ran into floodwaters crossing Nat Rogers Road.
