Bardstown Fire sent to Daugherty Ave. for smoke in a residence

Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, 9:13 a.m. — A flooded basement prompted West Daugherty Avenue resident to call Tuesday morning for the Bardstown Fire Department after finding smoke in the home’s living room. Firefighters were called about 9:10 Tuesday morning to the West Daugherty residence. Firefighters reported the problem was a flooded basement and issues with the furnace, there was no fire.
