Joseph Rudolph ‘Doc’ Terrell, 75, Willisburg

Joseph Rudolph “Doc” Terrell, 75, of Willisburg, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at his home after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.

He was a native of Washington County, a former former bridge and road construction employee, a self employed logger and was certified as a master logger from theUniversityofKentucky Forestry Division. He was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church and Bloomfield Masonic Lodge #57 F & AM. He was the son of the late William and Geneva Drury Terrell.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bricken Terrell; two sons, Joe (Linda) Terrell of Mackville , Mark (Denise)Terrell of Willisburg; three daughters, Bobbi (Jeff) Burkhead of Bloomfield, Carisa (Richard) Dean of Liberty, and Judy Barnett of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Frances Richardson of Lawrenceburg, Billie Boblett of Springfield, and Shelby Loveland of Willisburg; two brothers, Gary Terrell of Lawrenceburg and Doug Terrell of Willisburg; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a special friend and caregiver, Phyllis Oates.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Brother Winfred Hagerman, Brother John Richardson and Brother Earl Hazel conducting the services. Burial wil be in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at Houghlin Funeral Home. Bloomfield Masonic Lodge will  hold a Masonic Memorial Service Wednesday night at the funeral home.
