Victim in Tuesday evening’s fatality on Nat Rogers Road indentified

Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, 12:15 P.m. — The victim who died when his car entered the floodwaters on Nat Rogers Road Tuesday night has been identified as Stanley Ned Rosenbaum, 71, a resident of the Boston area.
Rosenbaum was Professor Emeritus of Religion and Classics (Judaic Studies) of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Kentucky.
Rosenbaum authored a number of books on religion, among them “Amos of Israle: A New Interpretation,” and “Understanding Biblical Israel.” He and his wife Mary Rosenbaum were co-authors of “Celebrating Our Differences: Living Two Faiths in One Marriage.” Rosenbaum authored numerous articles for a variety of publications; he and his wife also co-authored numerous articles for publication. He was an active Democrat and frequent author of letters on politics to the local newspaper.
