Accidents snarl afterschool traffic on North Third Street

Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, 3:43 p.m. — Afterschool traffic was snarled Friday afternoon by separate accidents at the same Bardstown intersection. City police responded to an accident about 3:25 p.m. Friday at the intersection of North Third and Daugherty Avenue. While police were at the first accident, a second — an injury accident — occurred on the other side of the intersection. Nelson County EMS and city police responded. A 50-year-old man was transported from the scene complaining of shoulder and rib pain.
