Steven Reed ‘Steve’ Arnold, 66, New Haven
Steven Reed “Steve” Arnold, 66, of New Haven, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at his home. He was born July 2, 1945, in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of the late Lucious Olyn and Grace Reed Arnold. He worked as an oil well driller, highway patrol officer, homicide investigator and Florida prison inspector. He was an engineer with R. J. Corman in Bardstown before retiring. He was a Christian by faith.
He was always gracious and friendly, he loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He enjoyed trapping, taxidermy, watching TV and playing the dobro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Arnold.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Linda Alice Sneed Arnold of New Haven; three sons, Levi Arnold, Eric Arnold, and Troy Arnold; one daughter, Bonnie Arnold; two stepsons; one sister, Carolyn Grace Owen of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life service is 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home, in New Haven.
Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the funeral home.
