James Carroll Farnsworth, 64, formerly of Jacksonville, Fla.

James Carroll Farnsworth, 64, formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at the Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.  He was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Bardstown, was a 1965 graduate of Bardstown High School and a graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era who worked as an aircraft inspector. He was a self-employed carpenter and retired as a senior planner for the City of Jacksonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Lee and Geraldine Evans Farnsworth.

Survivors include two brothers, Gerald (Lila) Farnsworth of Deatsville and Kenneth (Lynn) Farnsworth of Bardstown; a sister, Rita (Dr. John) Cecconi of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Batcheldor will officiate.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass,
Team Gold.
