Marjorie Ann ‘Margie’ Gentner Mooney, 73, of New Haven

Marjorie Ann “Margie” Gentner Mooney, 73, of New Haven, formerly of Concord, N.Y., died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at University of Louisville Hospital.

She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown. She was born Sept. 24, 1938, in Springville, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Florence Winter Gentner. She was a seamstress and quilted many quilts. She also worked as a software tech for Fisher-Price before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Doyle Deloyce Mooney; one daughter, Veronica Lux; and one brother, Don Gentner.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Susie) Lux and Robert (Susan) Lux, both of Concord, N.Y.; four daughters, Maria (Peter) Wasiela of Lackawanna, N.Y., Kathleen Lux of Springville, N.Y., Jennifer (Bill) Haught of Springville, N.Y., and Rebecca (Michael) Wilson of Willisburg; two brothers, Tom (Pat) Gentner of Prescott, Ariz., and Jim (Patsie) Gentner of McDade, Texas; two sisters, Diane (Michael) Leggero of Spriville, N.Y., and Audrey (Jim) Parsons of Delmar, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, in the chapel of the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven with the Rev. Bruce Nichols officiating.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
