Police looking in Nelson County for LaRue murder suspects

(UPDATED 11 p.m.) Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, 7 p.m. — Police in Nelson County and the Kentucky State Police are looking for a man and woman who are suspected of involvement in the murder of a LaRue County woman.

WLKY news reported Friday evening that Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a woman on School Loop in the Buffalo community in LaRue County. Witnesses placed the man and woman at the murder scene, with the man being seen inside the victim’s home and the woman waiting outside in the car.

The couple, described as an African-American male and a Caucasian woman, were seen leaving the scene in a white 2007 Toyota Camry. At 11:20 p.m. Friday evening, Nelson County Dispatch reported the Camry was found abandoned in the Campbellsville area.

The pair left the murder scene in an unknown direction of travel and remain at large.
