One injured in head-on crash on US31E south of Culvertown

Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, 8:25 p.m. — One person was injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision Saturday night about 7:45 in the 8400 block of New Haven Road just south of Culvertown. One of the vehicles involved in the crash had been spotted just minutes earlier weaving all over the road as it passed through New Haven and headed north on US31E. Nelson County Dispatch had issued an Attempt To Locate bulletin for the vehicle, asking officers to be alert for a possibly impaired driver. The driver, a man in his mid-40s, was taken by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Three others invovled in the crash refused transport by EMS.
