Frank Jemley, Jr. 82, Bardstown

Frank Jemley, Jr., 82, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in Louisville.

FRANK JEMLEY

He was born Oct. 13, 1929, in Madisonville.  He grew up in Harlan, was a Korean War Army veteran, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky State College in 1957.  He was the owner and operator of the Lamplighter Clothing and Gifts Store at the corner of Flaget Avenue and North Third Street Bardstown for more than 40 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Wilkie Lewis  Jemley; three brothers, Joseph Jemley, Ollie Jemley, and Mac Jemley; and one sister, Frances Mudd.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Willett Jemley; four sons, Lambert Willett Jemley, his wife, Carrie and daughter, Ava Jemley; Charles Lewis Jemley, his wife, Sherri and children, Megan Jemley, Alyssa Jemley, and Abigail Jemley, all of Seattle; Frank Jemley, III, his wife, Heather and children, Noah Jemley, Luke Jemley, Hannah Jemley, Sam Jemley, and Alexander Jemley, all of Louisville;  and Peter William Jemley, his wife, Sarah, and children, Liam Jemley and Emma Jemley, all of Tacoma, Wash.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, and 8:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at tje Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home.
