Anna L. Lewis, 96, Bloomfield
Anna L. Lewis, 96, of Bloomfield, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.
She was the former Anna Stivers, a native of Nelson County, a retired employee of the Nelson County Board of Education, having worked in food service at Eli Brown School. She was a homemaker, a member of the Bloomfield Senior Citizens club and the Campbells’ Chapel A.M.E. Zion Methodist church.
She was the daughter of the late Will and Addie Stewart Stivers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernestine Lewis; two sons, Ronnie and Larry Lewis; six brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine (Ronald) Skinner of Dayton; one son, David Wayne (Candy) Lewis of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Demetra Sheckles, Raeann Lewis, Lea and Terra Skinner; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at theCampbell’sChapelA.M.E.ZionMethodistChurchconducted by Rev. Allen Keene. Burial will be inBloomfieldCemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at Campbell’s Chapel A.M.E. Zion Methodist Church.
