Julian Pickett Hood, 85, Bardstown
Julian Pickett Hood, 85, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at Colonial Health and Rehab in Bardstown.
He was a native of Nelson County, a retired employee of Mago Construction Co., a member of the Chaplin United Methodist Church, and Bloomfield Masonic Lodge No. 57 F& AM.
He was the son of the late Hubert and Eliza Jane Holt Hood and was preceded in death by his wife Betty Hood; and two sons Ronnie and Gary Hood.
Survivors include two daughters Sharon (Phil) Radlciffe of Louisville and Lisa Livers of Bardstown; two sons David (Ann) Hood of Bloomfield and Roger (Karen) Hood of Louisville; one brother, Gerald (Opal) Hood of Chaplin; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Brother Karl Lusk officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Houghlin Funeral Home with a Masonic Memorial service at 6:30 p.m.
