Nelson Circuit Court Indictments–Jan. 4, 2012

Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, 6 p.m. – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012. They are set for arraignment on Jan. 19, 2012, unless otherwise indicated.
12-CR-001. Joseph Christopher Redmon, 32, Bardstown, possession of a forged instrument, second-degree (2 counts); persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, on Dec. 1, 2011, Redmon allegedly possessed forged checks for $131.01 and $146.23 and passed them at a Five Star Food Mart. The indictment cites Redmon’s prior felonies as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-002. Ashlee Marie Downs, 26, Willisburg, unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor.
According to the indictment, between Jan. 12, 2011 and April 27, 2011, Downs allegedly possessed or sold a drug product ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or other drug products that are precursors to methamphetamine or other controlled substances. Bail was set at $1,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-003. Joseph Christopher Redmon, 32, Bardstown, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and complicity to same; persistent felony offender, second-degree.
According to the indictment, between Oct. 31, 2011 and Dec. 1, 2011, Redmon allegedly, either acting alone or in concert with Kayla Shain, unlawfully used a credit card belonging to someone else to obtain money in the amount of $500 or more but less than $10,000. The indictment cites Redmon’s prior felonies as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-004. Jason Eric Dean, 34, Springfield, unlawful distribution of a methamphetamine precursor.
According to the indictment, between March 9, 2011, and May 5, 2011, Dean allegedly possessed or sold a drug product ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or other drug products that are precursors to methamphetamine or other controlled substances. Bail was set at $1,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-005. Kayla M. Shain, 20, Bardstown, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, between Oct. 31, 2011 and Dec. 1, 2011, Shain allegedly, either acting alone or in concert with Joseph C. Redmon, unlawfully used a credit card belonging to someone else to obtain money in the amount of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $2,500 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-006. Tracy Lynn Keeling, 43, Taylorsville, obtaining controlled substance by fraud (4 counts).
According to the indictment, on Aug. 9, 2010, Sept. 8, 2010, June 6, 2011, and June 29, 2011, Keeling allegedly obtain amphetamine/dextroamphetamine by fraudulent means. Bail was set at $1,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-007. Casey J. Bowling, 23, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, between May 1, 2011, and Aug. 3, 2011, Bowling allegedly — acting alone or in concert with Michael Underwood, Brandon, Sheckles and Samantha Ahearn –- took scrap metal belonging to MarloeRoe having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-008. Sally Christine Barnes, 31, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, 5 or more plants and complicity to same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on Dec. 14, 2011, Barnes allegedly – acting alone or in concert with Paul J. Barnes – was in possession of five or more marijuana plants under cultivation. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-009. Brandon Scott Sheckles, 27, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, between May 1, 2011, and Aug. 3, 2011, Bowling allegedly — acting alone or in concert with Michael Underwood, Samantha Ahearn and Casey Bowling –- took scrap metal belonging to MarloeRoe having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-010. Paul Jarod Barnes, 31, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, 5 or more plants and complicity to same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on Dec. 14, 2011, Barnes allegedly – acting alone or in concert with Sally C. Barnes – was in possession of five or more marijuana plants under cultivation. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-011. Michael W. Underwood, 31, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, between May 1, 2011, and Aug. 3, 2011, Bowling allegedly — acting alone or in concert with Brandon Sheckles, Samantha Ahearn and Casey Bowling –- took scrap metal belonging to Marloe Roe having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-012. Scott D. Dunagan, 32, Bardstown, second-degree burglary and complicity to same; third-degree burglary and complicity to same; criminal trespass, first-degree and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 12, 2011, Dunagan allegedly – acting alone or in concert with Andrew Hall – entered a residence and outbuildings belonging to someone else with the intent to commit a crime. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-13. Samantha Ahearn, 22, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, between May 1, 2011, and Aug. 3, 2011, Ahearn allegedly — acting alone or in concert with Michael Underwood, Brandon Sheckles, and Casey Bowling –- took scrap metal belonging to Marloe Roe having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-014. Andrew R. Hall, 27, Louisville, second-degree burglary and complicity to same; third-degree burglary and complicity to same; criminal trespass, first-degree and complicity to same.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 12, 2011, Hall allegedly – acting alone or in concert with Scott Dunagan – entered a residence and outbuildings belonging to someone else with the intent to commit a crime. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-15. John H. Turner, 47, theft by failure to make required disposition of property, $500 or more; persistent felony offender, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on July 21, 2011, Turner allegedly rented a 60-inch TV from Aaron’s Rental and failed to return the merchandise or make payments, the TV having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000. The indictment cites Turner’s prior felonies as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only, plus conditions.
12-CR-017. Travis Gaskill, 29, Bardstown, second-degree burglary; persistent felony offender, first-degree.
According to the indictment, on Dec. 17, 2011, Gaskill allegedly entered the residence of another individual with the intent to commit a crime. The indictment cites Gaskill’s prior felonies as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only, plus conditions.
